Michael Mauer has been responsible for the exterior and interior design of all Porsche models since 2004, making him only the third Head of Design since the legendary Ferdinand Alexander Porsche. In an interview with us, he reveals exciting insights into the design process between brand tradition and innovation, why the term “luxury” does not necessarily have positive connotations for him and why he ultimately decided against his original career aspirations of becoming a ski or surf instructor.
