Our guest today is Klaus Busse, Head of Design at Maserati and Director of the Stellantis Design Studio. The German-born designer studied Automotive and Transport Design at Coventry University, began his career at Mercedes-Benz and later worked for many years at Chrysler and FCA before taking on design leadership at Maserati in 2015. Today he shapes a brand whose history is defined by the Gran Turismo and an unusual connection between motorsport and Italian design culture . Busse himself speaks repeatedly about emotion and passion—and about the freedom he finds in Italian design to develop a brand further without simply reproducing its past.
