This is proven once again by the renowned Swiss watch manufacturer Breitling and the British motorcycle brand Triumph Motorcycles. In what is now their third collaboration, the two companies are presenting the Chronomat B01 42 Triumph special-edition watch model, while the motorcycle manufacturer is also presenting the Speed Triple 1200 RR Breitling, a special-edition model limited to 270 motorcycles.
The new Chronomat B01 42 Triumph features an anthracite-colored dial and a combination of titanium and 18-carat red gold, while the perforated brown leather strap is intended to »express the freedom of the road«, according to Breitling. The Chronomat B01 Triumph Edition reflects the dark colors of the corresponding motorcycle, while the golden details are a tribute to the striking front forks from the manufacturer Öhlins on the Speed Triple 1200 RR.
Originally designed in 1983 for the Italian Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team, the Chronomat made its mark on watchmaking by bringing the mechanical chronograph back to the fore in an era of the quartz trend. When purchasing a motorcycle, the buyer also receives exclusive access to the so-called Chronomat B01 Triumph Owners Exclusive– an exclusive, custom-made watch with a carbon dial designed to reflect the aesthetics of the limited-edition motorcycle and featuring a case back with an engraved motorcycle serial number. Both details are unique to this special model and are intended to further emphasize the close connection between the watch and the motorcycle.
