The guest in today’s episode of Chapter Talks is Lilli Hollein, General Director and Scientific Director of the Museum of Applied Arts (MAK) in Vienna. Coming from a family with an affinity for architecture and design, Hollein studied product design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Born in Vienna, she then worked for many years as a curator, design expert and journalist in the cultural sector. In 2007, together with Tulga Beyelere and Thomas Geisler, she founded Austria’s largest design festival – Vienna Design Week. In the podcast, we talk to Lilli Hollein about the social role of the museum as an institution, digital exhibitions and the future of museum visits.
