In today’s episode of Chapter Talks, we welcome German designer Mark Braun as our guest. The trained carpenter and qualified industrial designer founded his own design studio in Berlin in 2006 and designs products for well-known companies such as Lobmeyr, Nomos Glashütte, Mono and Thonet. His projects include high-quality pieces of furniture as well as beautifully designed everyday objects such as fountain pens, fruit bowls and wristwatches. Mark Braun’s products have already won numerous design awards, such as the IF Award and the German Design Award. He has been teaching industrial design at the HBK Saar since 2015. With Chapter, the designer talks in depth about the origins of his love of design, his enthusiasm for materials and sustainable products in a fast-paced world.
