For the tenth »Chapter Talks« episode, we talked to one of the most important German industrial designers of the moment: Stefan Diez. After working for design greats such as Richard Sapper and Konstantin Grcic at the beginning of his career, he opened his own studio in Munich in 2003 and quickly secured a firm place in the international design landscape with his designs for manufacturers such as Magis, Thonet and HAY. Stefan Diez has also headed the Industrial Design department at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna since 2018. Among other things, he spoke to us about the role of design in the circular economy and which talents he particularly values in applicants for the course he heads.
