After studying in Pforzheim and working at companies such as Chopard, he has been shaping the design language of Breitling since 2019 — a watch brand that has stood for technical precision and striking design for over 140 years. Pablo Widmer describes his design approach as »modern-retro«, i.e. as a dialogue between brand history and the present. Under his leadership, reinterpretations of iconic watch models such as the Top Time collection were created — or most recently the new Lady Premier series, which transforms a historical women’s model from the 1940s into a contemporary design.

He studied product design at the HfG Offenbach University of Art and Design and already concentrated on designing objects and furniture during his studies. He worked for Stella McCartney in London before finally setting up his own design studio. Since then, Sebastian Herkner has been designing furniture, lighting and objects for renowned brands such as Thonet, Fritz Hansen, Moroso and Zanotta, as well as realizing projects in the fields of interior design and museum and exhibition design. His work has already won countless awards and major design museums – such as Die Neue Sammlung München and the Vitra Design Museum – have included his designs in their collections.

Since 1994, Eike König has headed the creative collective HORT, which he founded and which initially became known for its work for the music industry. The multidisciplinary design studio now also counts international brands such as Nike, Volkswagen, Disney, Microsoft and the New York Times among its clients. In his free artistic work, Eike König is particularly known for his supposedly striking messages. He uses typography, pop art and contemporary design techniques. Eike König also currently teaches graphic design and illustration at the Offenbach University of Art and Design. In an in-depth interview, he explains, among other things, why he attributes his success to constant hard work, why his artistic and commercial work is closely intertwined – and, of course, why the revolution unfortunately has to be postponed.

Rod White graduated in Furniture Design from Edinburgh College of Art and started his career in Tokyo, designing products for Toshiba. Thereafter he worked for Philips Design in different roles, based in Eindhoven, Vienna, Singapore. In Singapore he was also a part time lecturer for Furniture Design at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Michael Mauer has been responsible for the exterior and interior design of all Porsche models since 2004, making him only the third Head of Design since the legendary Ferdinand Alexander Porsche. In an interview with us, he reveals exciting insights into the design process between brand tradition and innovation, why the term “luxury” does not necessarily have positive connotations for him and why he ultimately decided against his original career aspirations of becoming a ski or surf instructor.
