Presented in 1966, the Miura<\/i><\/a> was Lamborghini’s<\/a> first major emancipatory step in its constant comparison with market leader Ferrari<\/a>. With its innovative technology and aesthetics, the Miura<\/i> was to profoundly shape the history of Lamborghini<\/a>, as well as the entire supercar<\/i> segment. For the Miura’s<\/i> 60th anniversary, Lamborghini<\/a> is now presenting a special edition limited to 99 examples. With historical colors, characteristic two-tone paint finishes, and selected design details, Lamborghini commemorates the Miura<\/i> and transfers its design signature to the modern proportions and sculptural surfaces of the Revuelto<\/i>, the brand’s current high-performance flagship.<\/p>\n

When Lamborghini presented the Miura<\/i>\u00a0 in 1966, the company was only three years old. The young manufacturer faced the challenge of establishing itself as an independent, strong brand. Performance alone was not enough \u2013 high speeds were already a given in the supercar segment. Therefore, design became particularly crucial. And so, the Miura<\/i>\u00a0 marked that important moment when Lamborghini began to develop its own design identity\u2014independent of the great competitor from Maranello.<\/p>\n

The bodywork, designed by Marcello Gandini<\/a> at Bertone, played a central role. With its flat silhouette and the transversely mounted twelve-cylinder engine behind the seats, it permanently changed the idea of what a supercar could look like. In retrospect, Gandini explained the success of the Miura<\/i>\u00a0 by stating that the design was “incredibly innovative” without completely breaking with the design conventions of its time. It was precisely this combination of innovation and formal compatibility that made the Miura<\/i>\u00a0 the starting point for an independent Lamborghini design history.<\/p>\n

60 years later, Lamborghini now commemorates this significant chapter in the company’s history with the Revuelto Miura 60\u00b0 Homage<\/i>. The special edition, limited to just 99 units, was created as part of the Ad Personam<\/i>\u00a0 customization program in collaboration with the Lamborghini Centro Stile<\/i>\u00a0 and will celebrate its world premiere in mid-August at Monterey Car Week<\/a> 2026.<\/p>\n

Instead of reinterpreting the Miura<\/i>, the Revuelto Miura 60\u00b0 Homage<\/i>\u00a0 adopts selected design elements from the original. Nine historical exterior colors, including Rosso Arancio<\/i>, Verde Scandal<\/i>, or Blu Tahiti<\/i>, echo classic Miura<\/i>\u00a0 paint finishes. Additionally, there are two exclusive two-tone configurations with contrasting lower body sections\u2014a feature of numerous historical Miura<\/i>\u00a0 models. Gold or titanium-colored wheels and a specially developed \u00bbMiura 60\u00ab emblem complete the look.<\/p>\n

Inside, Lamborghini also incorporates design references. The seats, with their characteristic \u00bbCannelloni\u00ab pattern, echo the Miura’s<\/i>\u00a0 upholstery, while leather extends over the center console and door panels. Between the seats, a “Miura 60” embroidery refers to the special edition, while a carbon plaque identifies each vehicle as one of 99 units. Owners of a historical Miura<\/i>\u00a0 can also, in collaboration with Ad Personam<\/i>, have the original color configuration of their own vehicle faithfully recreated.<\/p>\n
